MANUEL-TURIZO
Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has made significant inroads towards Latin pop. In 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 in the Top Latin Albums chart. In the following year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and dropped the album Dopamina that year. In 2021 he produced the duet to TINI's smash track Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, which featured the hit single La Bachata. Turizo was born into an musical family. His younger brother and his mother are each musicians. In interviews, Turizo has declared that music is essential. While a boy was in school, he took guitar and saxophone. The first choice for his career was to become a vet, but his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under a Cuban instructor. The end result was that he realized his talents for singing, and the result transformed his career path.
