Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. As a child, she was inspired by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana is a lover of the opera and tango genres as well as every form of dramatic performances. Ana started learning how to play and sing at an early age together with her mom. She was given more formal training in singing at the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. Her early professional career saw her perform with many opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move to the United States, she performed in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002 she moved to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist of traditional Latin American music at private events. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to many projects in the community because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana thank the Inland Master Chorale for the permission to sing the traditional Latin American song.
